Zhang Qifan is a UIC graduate from the Class of 2019. After studying for four years at UIC, he is prepared to embark on the next journey to Yale. Zhang QifanFor Zhang, one of the attractions of UIC is its English teaching environment. Intrigued by the diversity of world cultures and ideas, he became a student of the Globalisation and Development Programme, where he could study with students and teachers from various countries, including the UK, Italy and South Korea.

Mao Kailing is a UIC student from the Class of 2015. After graduating from UIC and working in Microsoft for four years, she gained her master's degree from the University of Washington, and now she has decided to head towards Carnegie Mellon University and pursue her doctoral degree there. Mao learned about UIC when she was still in high school. Attracted by its unique location and environment, she chose to start her college life as a student of the Computer Science and Technology Programme of the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST).
